    • 1). Launch the iTunes application on your secondary PC or Mac computer. This can be any machine that has not previously been synced with your iPod and does not store your main music library.

    • 2). Go to the "Store" menu at the top of the screen and choose the "Authorize This Computer" option.

    • 3). Enter your iTunes username and password in the dialog box that appears and then click "Authorize." The iTunes program will not log in to your account and grant the computer the ability to play your purchased music.

    • 4). Connect your iPod Touch, Classic, Nano or Shuffle to your computer using an iPod USB transfer cable.

    • 5). Highlight the name of your iPod from the "Devices" list on the left side of the main iTunes window.

    • 6). Open the "File" menu at the top of the screen and select the option labeled "Transfer Purchases from" followed by the name of your iPod. All the iTunes content on your iPod will now be exported from the device and transferred to the music library on the local computer's hard drive.
