- 1). Use a plastic ruler to measure the precise dimensions of the mini-SIM card. Also, measure the dimensions of the micro-SIM (15mm by 12mm) on the mini.
- 2). Use a marker to mark the dimensions of the micro-SIM card on the mini. Keep the metallic chip inside the marked portion.
- 3). Outline the marked area of the SIM card using a fine cutter.
- 4). Cut the marked area of the SIM using a pair of scissors to convert the mini-SIM to a micro-SIM that can be used with an iPad or iPhone.
