How to Compress a Blu-ray to a DVD
- 1). Install a Blu-ray software decoder. Once such program is the Blu-ray Decrypter, and it can be downloaded from bluraydvddecrypter.com. Choose "Download" from its main option to initiate installation. Follow on-screen prompts until download completes. Restart your computer once program is installed.
- 2). Insert your chosen Blu-ray disk into the computer's CD-ROM drive, and insert the black DVD disk into the burn disk drive. Open the decrypter application from the "Start" menu, choosing "Blu-ray and DVD Decrypter" from the Programs tab. The program will show an immediate prompt that asks you how the file should be ripped. Choose "Rip to the ISO image."
- 3). Once the ripping process completes, you can initiate the Blu-ray compressing. Choose the "Burn"option when prompted. Select "burn file" instead of "ISO image"when the application asks you how you would like the data to be organized.
- 4). Drag your cursor over all the file data that shows up under the Blu-ray disk. When done, select "Start" to initiate compressing process. Expect the files to complete this process within about 10 minutes.
