How to Use Auto Tunes
- 1). Download and install the Auto-Tune application. Authorize the product by registering and inputting the serial number that comes with all purchased products. Without authorizing your Auto-Tune product, you will have limited access to the application's features.
- 2). Open the host program that you will be using along with your Auto-Tune plug-in.
- 3). Open the effect onto a pre-recorded audio track containing vocals. This is done differently in every program. For those using Ableton, you can open the Auto-Tune effect by dragging the effect and placing it onto the track. For Cubase, you open the "Audio Channel Settings" and select Auto-Tune from the options. This will open the Auto-Tune user interface.
- 4). Change the settings within Auto-Tune to produce the sound you are hoping to achieve. The pitch, onset rate, onset delay, onset delay, variation, and retune should all be set to zero. The tracking should be set at 75. The rate should be set to 0.1. Also set the formant to 100. The amplitude should be set to 10. The key should be set to "C". The scale should be set to "Major."
- 5). Go back to the host program. Click "Play" to listen to the effect changes. If more edits are needed, go back to Auto-Tune's control settings and alter the changes in order to produce the desired effect.
