How to Make a Fake Topiary
- 1). Place the styrofoam cube in the flower pot. If the cube doesn't fit snugly in the pot, hot glue it to the bottom of the pot.
- 2). Stick the dowel into the middle of the styrofoam cube. Make sure that it goes far enough into the styrofoam so that it can stand upright.
- 3). Stuff all of the empty areas of the pot with peat moss. Glue a thick layer of peat moss over the top of the styrofoam.
- 4). Insert the largest styrofoam ball onto the dowel, bringing it down until it is about 6 inches above the peat moss.
- 5). Stick the middle sized styrofoam ball onto the dowel, bringing it down until it is 6 inches above the first styrofoam ball
- 6). Stick the smallest styrofoam ball onto the top of the dowel, making sure that the dowel does not stick through the top of the ball.
- 7). Glue faux ivy all over the styrofoam balls until you cannot see the styrofoam anymore.
