How to Make Paper Flowers With a Photo in the Middle
- 1). Measure the diameter of the smallest cupcake liner you are using. Hold a ruler against the flat bottom of the paper cup to take the measurement.
- 2). Trim photos into circles with a diameter that matches the diameter of the smallest liner. Cut the circles with scissors or a round craft punch. Set the photos aside.
- 3). Select at least three liners for the flower. The liners should vary by size, color or pattern. You can embellish each liner differently to achieve this variance or purchase a variety of liners.
- 4). Cut five to seven 1/4-inch wide triangles along the edge of the cupcake liners to create the gaps between petals. The triangles should point down toward the bottom of the paper cup. Space the triangles evenly. Keep the paper cut in its natural shape as you cut it. Do not flatten the cup.
- 5). Trim the sharp corners of each petal-edged section with scissors to give them rounded edges.
- 6). Hold the exterior side of the liner against your work surface gently. Avoid flattening the pleats as much as possible. The rest of the cup should extend upward from the work surface.
- 7). Draw a narrow band along the top edge of each petal with a metallic marker. Make the line as wide or narrow as you prefer. Vary the color or width of the lines from one liner to the next, if desired.
- 8). Place the liner that is to be the outermost layer of the flower right side up of your work surface. Apply a thin layer of glue to the bottom of the paper cup.
- 9). Press the next liner into the bottom of the first cup. Repeat the gluing and stacking process until you affix all of the liners for one flower.

Apply a thin layer of glue to the bottom of the innermost liner. Press the round photo, back side down, into the flower.
