How to Paint Opaque Acrylic Cylinders

    • 1). Lightly sand the outside of the opaque acrylic cylinder with 400-grit sandpaper.

    • 2). Wipe the cylinder off with a soft clean cloth.

    • 3). Cover the working surface with a layer of newspaper. Sit the sanded cylinder in the center of the newspaper.

    • 4). Take the lid off the spray paint. Shake the can for one minute. Hold the can a foot from the cylinder. Spray a thin coat of paint evenly around the cylinder. Let the paint dry for 10 to 15 minutes. Repeat the process until you've achieved your desired color. Let the cylinder dry 15 minutes before moving.
