Health care managers play a vital role in patient care. Their duties may vary depending on whether they are middle or senior managers. Some of the main responsibilities of health care managers include: overseeing the hiring and proper training of staff, planning a budget and developing an efficient billing system, problem-solving, and implementing new initiatives. Courses in business, math and the sciences are helpful to get started in the field. - In conjunction with the Minnesota School of Business, Globe University has been providing specialized career education programs for more than 130 years. Students can work towards a diploma, Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree, or an associates in applied science (A.A.S.). The health management program prepares students to work in fields such as health politics and policy, and long-term care. Students will develop well-rounded training and practical approaches that address the needs of retiring baby-boomer populations, and people without any insurance coverage. The health care management program is offered at the bachelors and master's level. Financial aid is available to students who qualify.
