How to Earn College Degrees Without Going to College
- 1). Determine in which college you are interested along with your preferred major or area of study. Contact this college to find out if online classes are available in your chosen area. Discuss with a college recruiter any additional admission steps you need to take for acceptance.
- 2). Go on the college's website to access classes for your chosen area of study. Online students will likely have a student "website" or portal -- an "online campus" -- where class information is listed for your particular major or area of study. Speak to your online college counselor representative for more information or help in accessing your student website, if needed.
- 3). Keep your homework assignment research, exam study guides and other classroom notes organized and separate from other documents at your home or office. Treat your online classroom experience as if you were actually attending the physical college campus by designating a study time each day to complete your assigned work. Interact with your professors and classmates via e-mail if you have questions regarding assignments or other class details.
- 4). Complete all required courses and homework associated with your online degree program within the timeframes and deadlines your professors define.
