    • 1). Lay out the feathers in a bunch, with quills overlapping slightly, on a flat surface. Wrap around the base with thread and knot tightly to secure together.

    • 2). Thread three or four beads onto the bottom of each silk flower stem to hide most of the wire at their base. Bunch together and place on top of the feathers and wrap the wires around the base of the feathers to hold stems and feathers together. Loose wires should sit at the back of the bunch so they cannot be seen. Trim excess ends with craft scissors.

    • 3). Tie a ribbon in a large bow approximately 4 inches wide. Place the flower and feather bunch on top of the center of the bow, and glue in place with craft glue. Place the brooch back in the center of the bow. Sew through the ribbon and the holes in the brooch back to secure in place.

    • 4). Turn the brooch over so the bow with the flower and feather bunch is facing up. Glue a few sequins onto the ribbon bow for added sparkle.
