How to Make Paper Flowers With Stems

    • 1). Unfold a napkin. To create a flower with many petals, unfold one to four additional napkins and lay them on top of the first napkin to create a stack, turning each napkin so that its corners point in different directions than the other napkins' corners.

    • 2). Pinch the center of the stack of napkins between the thumb and forefinger of your dominant hand, grasping all of the napkins at once. Gather the napkins and hold them about an inch along the surface with the thumb and forefinger of your non-dominant hand in a loose ring.

    • 3). Twist the center of the napkins tightly with your dominant hand to begin forming the end of the stem. Gradually pull the napkins through the ring formed by your non-dominant hand, continuing to twist tightly to form the stem.

    • 4). Stop twisting when you reach the desired balance of stem length and flower size. The longer you make the stem, the smaller the flower will be. Arrange the corners of the napkins to look like layers of petals.
