Hi, I'm Cherish Flieder with my cat, Gwennie. We are here today to show you how you can mount a photo to wood and I have a wonderful little portrait of her that we're going to give to her grandma since she's grandma's favorite grandkitty. So she's going to go take a break and I'm going to show you how to do that. Okay so to begin the process of Mod Podging your photo onto a piece of wood you're going to obviously select the piece of wood you want to use and make sure you sand it down and in this case I wanted it to be a bright blue so I went ahead and painted it with an acrylic paint. So that's all ready to go. Secondly, you're going to want to select your photograph and in this case I just traced the shape onto the photograph and then cut it out so that way it would match and from here we're just going to start Mod Podging. We're going to start by applying the Mod Podge to the center of the shape and then working our way out towards the edge. Once this is cut very nicely with the Mod Podge, we're ready to put our picture on. I'm going to go ahead and smooth it down and again we're working from the center out with my finger and I'm not too worried about getting a little extra on here because I'm going to Mod Podge a sealant over the whole piece. So when you are applying Mod Podge to seal the front of your photograph and wood, you might want to choose a synthetic brush. This will allow you to get really fine smooth strokes as you work your way around the wood. I'm Cherish and I'm glad you could be here today to learn some tips on how to mount a photo to wood using Mod Podge. I hope you'll go live life to the fullest and make it something to cherish.
