- 1). Add detergent to your washing machine as you would normally.
- 2). Add ½ cup of salt to the machine.
- 3). Start the washing machine, allowing the water to fill the drum for several seconds. This allows the salt to mix thoroughly with the detergent.
- 4). Add your clothes to the washing machine and wash as usual.
