How to Remove Dried Tempera Paint From Clothing
- 1). Soak the piece of clothing in water. This will cause the paint to become wet again.
- 2). Pour liquid laundry detergent onto the tempera paint and allow it to soak in. Rinse the water off and launder as normal.
- 3). If the stain is still there after laundering, place the garment in a combination of color safe bleach and water. Allow it to soak for 15 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with water. Launder as normal.
- 1). Dab water onto the stain with a sponge. Try to remove as much of the paint as you can with the sponge.
- 2). Have the shirt dry cleaned by a professional to remove the rest of the tempera paint.
- 3). If the paint has not come out, your shirt is probably not salvageable.
