How to Make a Double Heart Paper Basket

1). Use a ruler to measure and cut two pieces of paper out of construction paper -- each a different color -- that are about 6 inches long and 2 inches wide. They both need to be exactly the same size.
2). Fold the two pieces of paper in half.
3). Cut rounded corners on the non-folded end of the pieces of paper.
4). Make three parallel cuts in the paper with the scissors to create strips. The cuts should run from the folded end of the paper to about an inch from the rounded edge of the paper.
5). Place the first folded paper on a table in front of you so the rounded edge is pointing to your right. Lay the second folded strip on the table so the folded edge is pointed down and touching the edge of the other folded paper.
6). Weave the strips in with each other: Insert each strip through the loop made by one strip on the other piece of paper, then wrap it around the next strip, then work it through the loop made by the next strip, and so on. Continue weaving the strips together until you have a heart shape.
7). Pull the heart open, and it's ready to use as a basket.
