How to Make an Embroidered Cuff Bracelet

    • 1). Gather your supplies, and purchase a metal cuff. The size of your metal cuff will influence the room you have to embroider and your ending design, so consider factors such as these when picking out a metal cuff. Generally, a 1-inch cuff works well.

    • 2). Measure and cut a piece of fabric that will fit your metal cuff, and add an extra 1/2 inch to each side of the fabric to ensure that it will fit around the cuff. This fabric will be the background for your embroidery, so choose the color that you want your bracelet to be. Cut an identical piece of fabric and lay it aside for later use (this fabric will serve as the backing for your embroidered cuff bracelet).

    • 3). Create a pattern for your embroidery using a fabric marker. You will follow this pattern (which will serve as a guide) when embroidering the beads onto the fabric.

    • 4). Create your embroidery on the fabric by threading a needle and tying a knot in the end of the thread. Allow yourself enough thread to complete your embroidery.

    • 5). Begin embroidering in one corner of the design by pushing the needle up through the fabric so that the knot is on the backside of the fabric. String a bead through the needle and thread, and then pass the needle and thread back down through the fabric. Push the needle up again, add another bead and pass it down again. Repeat this process until you have completely embroidered your beaded pattern.

    • 6). Place the embroidered fabric atop the fabric that was laid aside in Step Two, and fold the extra 1/2 inch down on all sides but one width-wise side. Sew them together to make a seam securing the two pieces of fabric together to create the front and the back of your embroidered cuff bracelet.

    • 7). Slide the metal cuff into the fabric, and sew the remaining side shut firmly against the cuff to complete your embroidered cuff bracelet.
