How to Record on a VCR With DTV
- 1). Connect a coaxial cable from the jack labeled RF Out on the DTV box back panel to the RF input jack on the back of the VCR.
- 2). Hook up the second coaxial cable from the output jack on the VCR to the TV's input jack for an antenna.
- 3). Turn on the power to the equipment, then set both the VCR and TV to channel 3 or 4.
- 4). Insert a blank videocassette into the VCR through the front door in the component. To prepare for recording longer than 2 hours on a standard VHS cassette, press the rercording speed button until LP (4 hours of recrding time) displays on the VCR's front LCD screen. Some VCRs can record up to 6 hours on a standard tape at the SLP setting.
- 5). Tune the DTV box to the desired channel for recording a show using the remote control that comes with the DTV box
- 6). Press the VCR "Record" button to begin taping the program off the selected channel.
