The vertical portion of the graph displays the db output of the subwoofer, while the horizontal portion of the graph displays the frequency response of the subwoofer in relation to the db output.
The red line is the actual measured frequency response of the test signal as generated by the subwoofer.
The broken blue line is the reference or target that the subwoofer needs to approach in order to provide optimum response performance.
The purple line is the correction that is calculated by the software that provides the best response possible within the specific listening space in which the measurements have taken place.
As you can see, the ideal subwoofer response on higher frequencies should drop off well below 500 Hz, but it appears that my listening area is adding a lot of higher frequencies into the mix that has been somewhat corrected.

This may seem expensive for some, but when you consider how well this system performs, you will find it hard to find something in this price range and lower that sounds as good and, in fact, may even put the brakes on those who think they need to spend more on a speaker system to access the equivalent of the SE Series' performance.
There is not much to complain about the Paradigm SE Series speaker system that is the subject of this review. Are there better speaker systems? Yes, of course, but you may end up spending a lot more money for just a small degree of improvement.
