- 1). Download the appropriate Windows Update Agent install file from the links in the "Resources" section.
- 2). Click the "Start" button and select the "Run" option. This will bring up a new dialog box on your screen.
- 3). Type "X:\ABC\WindowsUpdateAgent20-x86.exe /wuforce" into the text box in the "Run" window (replacing "X" with the letter of the drive where the Windows Update install file is located, and "ABC" with the folder path where the file is located).
- 4). Press "Enter." This will force the updater to install regardless of whether or not there is another instance of WUA on your operating system
