How to Attach Crimp Beads With a Knot Cover
- 1). Cut a length of wire 5 inches longer than you want your finished necklace or bracelet. Thread the wire end through a crimp bead and the attachment point on one side of the clasp.
- 2). Pass the wire end back through the crimp bead to form a loop with a 2-inch wire tail. Pull the long piece of wire to tighten the loop and crimp the bead in place.
- 3). String your bracelet or necklace as desired.
- 4). Thread the other crimp bead onto the beading wire and pass the wire end through the other side of the clasp. Form a loop by bringing the wire back through the crimp bead and pulling tight. Crimp in place.
- 5). Run the wire tails at either end of the necklace or bracelet through several beads and cut away any excess.
- 6). Position a crimp/knot cover around the first crimp bead. Hold the cover in the slot closest to the tip of your crimping tool and squeeze gently until the cover closes completely. Repeat to cover the other crimp bead.
