- 1). Unravel some cord from the spool. Hold the cord across your forehead and bring both ends to the back of your head. As your slide the string off of your head, hold the two ends together to mark how much length was needed to wrap around your head. Use scissors to cut three pieces of string corresponding to this length.
- 2). Put the three pieces of cord side of by side. Hold the three ends together on one side and tie them into a tight double knot. Use a piece of masking tape to attach the bundle of strings to a flat surface to hold them in place.
- 3). Braid the strings together until about 2 inches of loose string remains. Hold the loose ends together and tie them together in a double knot to prevent the braid from unraveling.
- 4). Put on the headband by wrapping it around your head as you did when you were measuring the cord. Tie the two ends together at the back of your head. If possible, hide the knot by covering it with several strands of hair.
- 1). Use a hot glue gun to attach a silk flower to the front portion of the headband. Position it off center, ideally above your temple or ear.
- 2). Cut one or two pieces of cord measuring approximately 6 or 7 inches. Tie a double knot at one end of each piece of cord. String several beads onto each piece of cord and slide the beads along the cord until they are pressing up against the knot. Hold the cord by its loose end and tie it to the back of the headband. The beaded cord should hang perpendicular to the headband.
- 3). Use the glue gun to attach small rhinestones around all around the band. Leave about 1/2 inch of space between each rhinestone.
- 4). Use the glue gun to attach a crafting feather to the side of the headband so that it is positioned off-center. Place another feather over the initial one. Overlap the two feathers' stems so that the two features form a "V" shape. Glue the second feather in place.
