- 1). Press the back cover of the remote control inward and push it toward the arrow to release the back cover. Insert 2 AAA batteries and replace the battery cover, ensuring that it clicks in place.
- 2). Turn on the TV manually; turn it to Channel 1.
- 3). Press the "TV" key on the Philips universal remote to select the TV option. Hold the "TV" key button down for approximately five seconds until the light blinks twice on the remote.
- 4). Type in the four-digit code for the brand of television you're programming. Every brand requires a different code to program. Once you type in the code the "TV" key will blink twice and stay lit.
- 5). Press and hold down the "Power" key until the TV turns off. Repeat Step 1 through 5 for any other devices you'd like to program.
- 6). Press the "TV" button followed by "Power" to turn on the TV. Once you've programmed the remote for the DVD player, you will need to press the "DVD" button followed by "Power" to turn on the DVD player.
