How to Disable Integrated Video Ports in HP Computers
- 1). Turn on the HP computer and immediately start pressing the "F10" key about once a second until you see a blue screen and are loaded into the BIOS. If you don't get taken to the BIOS, restart the computer and repeat the process with the "F1" key instead.
- 2). Press the right arrow to move to the "Advanced" tab. The tabs are located at the top of the screen.
- 3). Use the down arrow to scroll to the "Onboard Video" item. Press "Enter" to continue. A small blue box with several options will pop up on the right side of the screen.
- 4). Use the up and down arrows to highlight "Off" and press the "Enter" key. The entry next to "Onboard Video" should read "Off."
- 5). Press the "F10" key to save the changes and reboot the computer. The HP computer will now search for any AGP or PCI video cards when it reboots.
