    • 1). Set up a work area with good ventilation. Spread old newspapers across your workspace and place your materials and tools within reach. Work on a surface that you will not mind getting stained or damaged, since this is often a messy process.

    • 2). Spray plastic molds with non-stick cooking spray and place them on a level surface.

    • 3). Pour liquid plastic into a glass dish and place it in the microwave. Heat it for three to five minutes or until the plasic is smooth. Do not overheat the plastic or it will begin to smoke.

    • 4). Take the glass dish out of the microwave and add one drop of plastic coloring at a time until the plastic is the shade you desire. Sprinkle in some nonmetal glitter and stir it in slowly. Place the dish back in the microwave and heat another 30 seconds.

    • 5). Remove the glass dish from the microwave and slowly pour the melted plastic into the molds, starting at one end of the mold and moving toward the other. Fill to the top of the mold but do not overfill.

    • 6). Allow the plastic to sit in the molds and cool completely. Normally this will take around 15 minutes. After they are cool, pull them out and place them flat on a paper towel to dry completely.

    • 7). Lay all of the lures on a cookie sheet after they have dried completely and are no longer sticky. Roll a pizza cutter over any pieces of plastic sticking out from the lure to trim them up.
