    • 1). Put your Windows XP restore disc into your DVD computer drive. Close the drive's tray and restart your computer.

    • 2). Select the "Repair" option when the Windows XP install utility loads on your screen.

    • 3). Click "Next" to continue through the Windows XP restore utility. You will be asked to specify settings for the way your fresh copy of Windows XP will be installed. All of your user documents and settings will remain intact no matter which settings you specify during this process.

    • 4). Click "Finish." The Windows XP restore disc will reinstall Windows XP on your computer, leaving all of your user documents and settings the same way they were before the process began.
