- 1). Turn on the TV.
- 2). Select the "Menu" button on the TV remote provided by the cable company.
- 3). Select "Settings" or "Parental Controls." The menu layout will depend on your cable provider, but either of these selections are what you want to look for while on the menu screen.
- 4). Enter the PIN number you created when you had the cable installed. If you did not choose a PIN there is typically a default PIN from your provider. Consult the cable manual to find out what the default PIN is.
- 5). Set the "Parental Controls." After you enter the settings you can enter the channel numbers you want to block. Ensure the "Parental Controls" are set to "On" as well.
