    • 1). Turn off your Olympus Camedia E-10 camera. Wait for the "Card Access" lamp to turn off if on.

    • 2). Hold the camera on its side so that the bottom faces you and the display screen points left.

    • 3). Grasp the "Battery Compartment" knob, lift it from the camera and turn it left to the "Open" position.

    • 4). Pull the battery holder straight out from the battery compartment. Remove the batteries from both sides of the holder.

    • 5). Insert the new battery packs or individual batteries--matching the polarities--into the battery holder. If you're using CR-V3 lithium battery packs, hold the battery holder with the knob facing you, insert the first battery pack on its side--the half-sealed portion of the pack pointing left and the sealed portion pointing right--and flip the pack down so that the sealed side faces up from inside the holder; repeat with the second pack. If you're using four alkaline, Ni-MH or Ni-Cd batteries, simply insert each battery into the appropriate battery slot.

    • 6). Slide the holder into the camera. Push in on the end of the holder and turn the "Battery Compartment" knob right to the "Closed" position to lock the holder in the compartment. Turn on your camera and begin taking pictures.
