- 1). Click the Windows "Start" menu button and select "All Programs."
- 2). Select "Accessories" and then select "System Tools" to display a list of options.
- 3). Click the "Activate Windows" option and then click "Yes, I want to telephone a customer service representative to activate Windows." Click "Next."
- 4). Click "Change Product Key" and then type your new product key in the text box.
- 5). Click "Update" and then click "Telephone." XP will provide instructions for completing the activation process and changing your product key.
