    • 1). Launch Magix Music Maker (see Resources to download). Click on the "Soundpools" heading near the bottom of the program. Select a music style from the "Styles" header and an instrument type from the "Instruments" heading--both under the Soundpools heading.

    • 2). Drag and drop a sample from the soundbank next to the Instruments panel. Drop the sample next to one of the numbered tracks stacked along the left side of the program. Sort and compile samples to form the template for a song.

    • 3). Use the playback control at the bottom of the main window to listen to your arrangement. Click on the "record" button to record a sample with your computer's microphone.

    • 4). Click on the "File manager" heading near the bottom of the program. Use the file explorer under the "File manager" heading to locate your recording and other audio samples on your computer.

    • 5). Click on the "Templates" heading. Select the effects category from the options listed on the left-side panel under the Templates heading. Drag and drop an effect from the effect bank at the bottom of the program to the track to where you'd like to apply the effect.

    • 6). Save your work (File > Save Arrangement).
