    • 1). Open a Microsoft Windows Command Prompt by clicking on the Windows Start Menu button and the "Run" option, then typing "cmd" in the search text field and pressing the "Enter" key on your keyboard. A Windows Command prompt window will appear.

    • 2). Scan the registry and repair any errors that are found. Type "scanreg /fix" without quotation marks and press the "Enter" button on your keyboard. The "scanreg" command line application is designed to search for errors within the Windows registry, and the "/fix" switch will repair any errors that are found. When the process is complete, you will be notified.

    • 3). Restart Microsoft Windows.
