    • 1). Lift the tank carry handle on the water tank to remove it from its base. Move the handle forward to unhook and remove the lid. Pour the cleaning formula into the measuring cup inside the tank up to the fill line. Fill the tank with hot tap water. Place the lid back on the tank and move the handle up to lock the lid. Place the tank back into its base on the machine. Move the handle back to latch it into position.

    • 2). Move the "ReadyTools" dials to the "Floor Cleaning" position to clean carpeted floor areas. Turn the power switch to "On." Turn the heater switch on the machine's side to "On." Let the machine sit for one minute to warm up. Step on the gray handle-release lever below the water tank with your foot. Press the spray trigger while moving the machine, first forward, then back. Release the trigger and move the machine forward and backward over the same area. Repeat cleaning until the solution coming back into the machine looks clean. Move the machine over the same area until no more water is left to be suctioned up.

    • 3). Turn the "ReadyTools" dial to the "Tools" setting to clean furniture and other upholstered areas other than floors. Attach one of the cleaning tools to the hose's end. Press the trigger to spray solution, move the tool over the surface and release the trigger to suction the water. Continue until the solution coming back through the machines appears clean. Move the tool back and forth over the area until no more water is being suctioned back into the machine. Remove the tools from the machine after each use and rinse under clean water.

    • 4). Hook the hard floor tool into the nozzle and move it down until it clicks into place to clean hard floor surfaces. Move the "ReadyTools" dial to "Floor Cleaning." Turn on the power and follow the same instructions for cleaning a carpeted area. Release the trigger to suction up the dirty water from the floor. Wash the hard floor tool after using with clean water.

    • 5). Turn the power switch to "Off." Remove the water tank from its base on the machine. Empty the dirty water into a utility sink or outdoors. Remove the link screen on the tank lid and rinse it under clean water. Replace the lint screen after washing. Wash the water tank with clean, warm water until it appears clean.
