How to Hook Rubber Bait
- 1). Grip the rubber bait worm lengthwise, so the hooked tail is sticking up and toward you. Hold the fishing hook on the line in the other hand.
- 2). Push the rubber bait worm up the length of the hook, shank and all, keeping the hook's barb sticking down from the body and pointing toward the rubber hook on the worm's tail.
- 3). Fold the rubber bait over the shank once it is pushed on the hook. Push enough of the rubber over the hook so the barb sticks out a little, but is protected by the rubber body of the fake worm, making the bait weed free when fished through aquatic grass.
- 4). Add a sinker to the top of the rubber bait if you need extra weight to fish deeper.
