Requirements

• Adobe Acrobat Professional was created to work with Windows 98 SE, Windows NT SP6, Windows 2000 SP2 and Windows XP. No other Windows operating systems are officially supported.
  
  

Compatibility Mode

• Windows Vista includes a compatibility mode for running older programs. To access this mode, right-click on an executable file and select "Properties." In the Compatibility tab, check the "Run this program in compatibility mode for" box and choose a compatible operating system. Perform this step for Acrobat's installation file, as well as when running the program.
  
  

Options

• Newer versions of Acrobat Professional officially support Windows Vista, and will not require any workaround to run on the operating system. Acrobat Professional 8 is the first version to support the newer operating system.
