1994 Honda Accord Stereo Installation
- 1). Raise the Accord's hood and disconnect the negative battery cable from the negative battery terminal with a wrench. Remove the cable from the battery terminal and rest it away from the battery terminals altogether.
- 2). Lift the center console storage compartment in the car. Remove the small panel at the bottom of the compartment with a flat head screwdriver. Remove the screws under the panel with a Phillips head screwdriver.
- 3). Open the lid to the cup holders and remove the three screws at the bottom of the compartment with the Phillips head screwdriver. Grasp the center console and push it towards the rear of the Accord to create a gap between the console and the gear selector lever box.
- 4). Remove the two screws at the front edge of the gear box with the Phillips head screwdriver.
- 5). Pull the ashtray from the dashboard and remove the screw at the back of the opening with the Phillips head screwdriver. Grasp the center dash panel and pull it away from the dashboard by hand.
- 6). Remove the two screws in the stereo bracket with the Phillips head screwdriver. Slide the factory stereo from the stereo mounting dock. Disconnect the stereo wiring and antenna cable lead from the back of the stereo.
- 7). Insert the faceplate adapter into the stereo dock. Feed the stereo wiring and antenna cable from the rear of the Accord's stereo dock to the front of the dashboard.
- 8). Plug the stereo wiring into the wiring harness adapter leads. Plug the wiring harness adapter leads into the corresponding outlets on the back of the new stereo. Plug the antenna cable into the FM antenna outlet on the rear panel of the aftermarket stereo unit.
- 9). Slide the new stereo into the faceplate adapter until it snaps into place. Place the center dash panel over the stereo and climate controls. Secure the screw in the back of the ashtray compartment. Replace the ashtray.

Replace the two screws at the front of the gear box. Push the center console back against the gear selector box. Replace the screws in the cup holder and at the bottom of the center console storage compartment. Replace the panel at the bottom of the center console storage compartment. Press against it to snap it back into place. - 11
Reattach the negative battery cable clamp onto the negative battery terminal. Tighten the cable clamp to the terminal with the wrench. Close the Honda's hood.
