    • 1). Remove the electrical wire from the negative terminal on the car battery. Loosen it with an adjustable wrench and then wiggle it while gently lifting it from the terminal.

    • 2). Disconnect the dashboard and glove box as necessary to access the radio housing inside the dash. This requires removing a series of Phillips screws and unclipping the dash from the frame. Set the removed items aside.

    • 3). Locate the car’s wire harness just inside the housing for the radio on the inner dash frame and pull it out as far as it comes. Fit the harness onto the harness loop on the right rear of the radio. The harness slips over the port and the weight of the radio provides the tension to keep it in place.

    • 4). Wrap the leading end of the black antenna cable over the set screw on the left rear side of the radio. Tighten the set screw with a Phillips screwdriver until it is secure. This connects the radio to the car’s main external antenna.

    • 5). Loosen the black and red set screws in the back of the radio with a screwdriver and wrap the individual colored wires around the set screws; red wire to red screw, and black wire to black screw. Tighten the set screws completely.

    • 6). Connect the speaker cables to the rear of the radio according to the wiring diagram that came with the radio and the Roadmaster users manual.

    • 7). Slip the radio back into the housing in the rear dash frame. Don’t pinch any of the wires and ensure that it is properly positioned and level.

    • 8). Align the holes in the bottom of the radio with the holes in the dash frame and tighten them securely. Gently pull on the radio to test that it is fully connected.

    • 9). Fit the bezel that came with the unit over the front of the radio until it clips into place. Attach the dashboard cover to the frame with the screws and clips and ensure that the radio fits easily through the radio opening.
