    • 1). Mix the oxygen bleach or powdered bleach with water, following the manufacturer's recommendations on the bottle. You typically need 1/2 cup oxygen bleach to 1 gallon water. Mix in a plastic bucket.

    • 2). Dip the nylon scrub brush in the mixture and apply a thin layer to the tile floors. Let the oxygen bleach soak into the tile and the grout for at least 15 minutes.

    • 3). Lightly scrub the solution into the grout, using the scrub brush. This removes the dingy color from the grout and makes the tile look fresher. Rinse the tile with a mop dipped in fresh water.

    • 4). Apply colored epoxy to scratched and chipped tiles. Use a craft stick dipper in rubbing alcohol, to evenly spread the epoxy around. Rub the stick over the top, removing any excess epoxy and wait 24 hours for it to dry completely.

    • 5). Replace broken or missing tiles with new tiles of the same color and size. Apply a thin layer of grout to the floor, push the tile into place and use more grout on top. Wipe the excess grout away from the tile and let the grout dry.
