How to Clean Crayon From Old Photographs
- 1). Place the photograph in a sealable, plastic bag. Seal the bag and store it your freezer for an hour, to harden the wax.
- 2). Don a pair of gloves to protect the finish from your skin. Remove the bag from the freezer and remove the photograph. Set it on a flat, dry surface, face-up.
- 3). Fold a thick paper towel in two. Press your nail into the paper towel and scrape at the crayon wax gently. Once you scrape off a little wax, switch to a clean spot on the paper towel, so the built-up wax does not spread.
- 4). Scratch away all the built-up wax on the image. Lightly rub the photo with a second clean paper towel to remove any remaining crayon.
