I Cannot Connect to Boot Server Error on Polycom IP 6000

    • 1). Update the configuration on your Polycom IP 6000, as an outdated configuration may cause boot server connection issues. Press the "Menu" button. Select "Settings," then "Basic." Choose the "Update Configuration" option. Choose "Yes" to confirm the update. The IP 6000 will update its configuration, then restart.

    • 2). Restart the Polycom IP 6000. Press and hold the "4" and "6" keys, followed by the Soft Key "2." The device will restart and attempt to connect to the boot server.

    • 3). Reset the local configuration. Press the "Menu" button. Select "Settings" and choose "Advanced." Enter your password when prompted. The default password is "456." Press the "Enter" Soft Key and choose "Admin Settings." Select "Reset to Default" and choose "Reset Local Configuration." Press "Yes" to confirm the reset.

    • 4). Reset the Polycom IP 6000's Web configuration. Press the "Menu" button. Select "Settings" and choose "Advanced." Enter the password when prompted. Press the "Enter" Soft Key and choose "Admin Settings." Select "Reset to Default," choose "Reset Web Configuration" and press "Yes" to confirm the reset.

    • 5). Reset the device settings. Press the "Menu" button, select "Settings" and choose "Advanced." Enter the password. Press the "Enter" Soft Key. Choose "Admin Settings," then select "Reset to Default" and "Reset Device Settings." Press "Yes" to reset the IP 6000's device settings.
