    • 1). Pick the right size squeegee channel for the job. The squeegee channel holds the squeegee blade and it is easily removed and replaced in the squeegee handle. The channels come in various lengths from 8 to 20 inches.

    • 2). Inspect the edges of the squeegee blade. Squeegee blades come in packages of 20. When the edge of the blade becomes dull it will cause streaks in the window. Replace the dull blade with a new one. Slide the blade into the blade channel. Place the metal clips on each end. Pull the blade so that it is tight. The edges of the blade should extend 1/8 inch beyond the blade channel on both sides.

    • 3). Spray the entire window with glass cleaner.

    • 4). Place the squeegee at the top of the window either in the left or the right corner. Slide the squeegee toward the bottom of the window applying a slight amount of pressure.

    • 5). Remove the squeegee from the window when you reach the bottom. Tap and shake the squeegee to remove excess window cleaner.

    • 6). Place the squeegee at the top of the window slightly overlapping the first area. Slide the squeegee down the window slightly angling it toward the damp part of the window. This avoids dripping on the section of the window that you already cleaned. Once you reach the bottom, remove the squeegee and tap and shake the excess window cleaner off the squeegee. Continue the process until the whole window is clean.
