Cool Things to Engrave
- Glass is a cool and unique material for you to engrave. Some examples of glass items to engrave are old or expensive wine bottles, collector's edition soft-drink bottles, champagne glasses, crystal decanters and glass vases. With wine bottles, you can ask for a gold fill to set off the engraving in sharp contrast. You might want to engrave your name or the date you bought or received the wine, or even the year the wine was bottled.

Stone is a unique item for you to engrave. Some married couples choose stones of different shapes and sizes and have them engraved with their name and wedding date and sometimes a symbol of their love, such as a heart or zodiac sign. You can also engrave welcome stones that greet visitors outside your home with a welcome message of your choosing, or just the surname of your family. - There are a number of cool wooden items you can engrave such as keepsake boxes, hourglass frames, wood plaques, custom-made wooden chests, bookshelves, wooden coasters and cigar boxes. The engraving is limited only by your imagination; for example, you can engrave your initials on the wooden chest or engrave the profile of an animal or a campfire on your coasters.
- Some cool plastic things to engrave include name plates and name tags, the back of a smart phone and plastic signs. You can engrave phones with a number of things such as your name, your initials, the name of someone you love, a symbol or design that has meaning to you, or even a favorite quote or saying. Most plastic items will engrave well, but there are some plastics, including silicone and urethane, that aren't suitable for laser engraving, so check with an expert before attempting to have any kind of plastic engraved.
