Honeywell Programmable Thermostat Instructions
- 1). Program your Honeywell thermostat's internal calendar and clock. Press the "Up" or "Down" arrow buttons until the on-screen month indicator reflects the correct value; press "Next." Follow the same procedure to set the day and year indicators; press "Done" when you have finished setting the calendar. Adjust the hours digits on the on-screen clock using the arrow buttons; press the "Next" button when the desired value is displayed. Use the same process to set the clock's minutes digits and press "Done."
- 2). Access the thermostat's programming mode. Press and release the "System" button and then hold down the "Next" button until the on-screen display changes.
- 3). Press "Next" to access the system selection screen. Use the arrow buttons to highlight the desired on-screen option and press "Next;" options include "Heat/Cool," "Heat Only," "Heat Pump," "Heat Only with Fan," "Hot Water Heat Only" and "Cool Only."
- 4). Program the thermostat's heating fan control when the "Gas or Oil Heat" and "Electric Heat" options appear on the display. Highlight the desired option using the arrow buttons and press "Next." Select the desired heating cycle rate when the "Electric Furnace," "Gas/Oil Steam," "Gas or Oil Furnace," "Gravity System" and "Hot Water or High-Efficiency Furnace" options appear; press "Next" to make your selection.
- 5). Program the thermostat's changeover function when the "Automatic Changeover" and "Manual Changeover" options appear. Highlight the desired option using the arrow buttons and press "Next." Select "Automatic Changeover" if you want the thermostat to automatically switch between the Heat, Cool and Off modes based on room temperature. Choose "Manual Changeover" if you want to have complete control over when the thermostat changes operating modes.
- 6). Choose between the Fahrenheit and Celsius temperature formats. Highlight the desired option and press "Next." Set the Daylight Savings Time function on the same screen; highlight "On" or "Off" and press "Next."
- 1). Select the desired operating mode for your Honeywell thermostat. Press the "System" button repeatedly to scroll through the thermostat's operating modes. Stop when the desired operating mode is shown on-screen; modes include "Heat," "Cool" and "Off."
- 2). Press the "System" button repeatedly until the fan setting selection screen is displayed. Press the button again to toggle between the "Auto" and "On" fan settings. Select "Auto" if you want the fan to run only during heating and cooling phases. Choose "On" to run the fan continually.
- 3). Press the "Next" button twice to access the thermostat's schedule programming mode. Press the "Systems" button repeatedly until the day whose schedule you want to program is shown on-screen. Push the "Next" button to display the settings for the "Wake" schedule segment. Use the arrow buttons to modify the temperature for that segment; press "Next" when the desired temperature is shown. Follow the same procedure to program the "Leave," "Return" and "Sleep" schedule segments.
