- 1). Power off and unplug your Hoover WindTunnel U6459-900 vacuum cleaner to avoid any accidental sparks or shocks while working on the machine.
- 2). Press the lever that allows you to unlock the vacuum handle with your foot and then flip the vacuum cleaner upside down to access the bottom of the machine.
- 3). Unscrew the four screws holding the L shaped faceplate in place and then lift the faceplate up and away from the vacuum cleaner.
- 4). Pull the old belt away from the pulleys it is wrapped around and wrap the new belt around the same pulleys.
- 5). Replace the large L shaped faceplate and screw it into place using the screws you removed earlier.
