How to Remove a Whirlpool Icemaker
- 1). Unplug the refrigerator from the wall outlet or turn off the refrigerator breaker in your service panel.
- 2). Remove the ice bucket from under the icemaker by pulling it straight out.
- 3). Loosen, but do not remove, the two screws on the side of the icemaker, securing the icemaker to the freezer wall.
- 4). Remove the screw under the icemaker, securing the icemaker to the freezer wall.
- 5). Lift the icemaker up and off of the two screws on the side of the freezer wall that were loosened. Pull the ice maker away from the wall to expose the wire harness.
- 6). Unclip the wire harness by lifting the tab on the male connector and pulling the two connectors apart. Remove the icemaker from the freezer.
