- 1). Ensure that your computer meets the system requirements of the Windows Vista SP2 update. Click "Start," select "Computer" and right-click the "C" drive. Click "Properties" and ensure that your system has the 348.3MB available hard drive space to download the upgrade. SP2 supports the operating systems Windows Server 2008 and Windows Vista.
- 2). Exit all programs. Visit the Microsoft website provided in references. Select your Internet connection speed under the "Estimated Download Time" option. The estimated download time depends on what type of Internet connection you have.
- 3). Click "Download." Click "Run" to begin the Windows Vista SP2 installation. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the upgrade.
