- 1). Insert a separately sold microSD card into the memory card slot beneath the Samsung Rant's battery cover at the bottom right corner of the phone. Push the card into the slot with its gold pins facing downward until it snaps into place.
- 2). Push the "Home" key. Open the memory card control panel by pushing the "Menu/OK" key to select the "Settings and Tools" menu, then selecting "Tools," "Mass Storage," "File Manager," and "Memory Card" in that order. Select "Create Folder" from the "Options" menu.
- 3). Name the new folder "Music." Push the left softkey to select "Done." The Samsung Rant will not recognize MP3 songs not stored in the "Music" folder.
- 4). Connect your Samsung Rant to the computer using its USB cable.
- 5). Double-click the Rant's device icon on your computer's desktop or in its file manager if you are not automatically prompted to the phone's directory upon connection.
- 6). Open the folder containing the MP3 songs you wish to copy onto the Rant in a separate file manager window.
- 7). Drag and drop the MP3 songs from their original location into the Rant's "Music" folder.
