- 1). Open the freezer door on your GE Profile refrigerator and locate the evaporator cover, which is a panel on the rear of the freezer interior.
- 2). Use a small hand ice scraper to remove any frost covering the front of the panel.
- 3). Lift up on the panel and pull it back to fully remove the evaporator cover from the freezer. The evaporator coils will be visible.
