How to Remove Rubber Cement From the Walls
- 1). Use your fingers to rub off as much of the rubber cement residue as you can.
- 2). Mix one tsp. of mild detergent, one with no bleach or alkalies, into one cup of lukewarm water. Wet and wring a cloth in the solution and wash the stained area with it.
- 3). Place a pea-sized dab of petroleum jelly on a clean, dry cloth and wipe it over the rubber cement stain. Remove any excess petroleum jelly with a clean cloth that has been wrung in a mild soap and water solution. Dry the wall thoroughly.
- 4). Wipe the rubber cement stain with an adhesive remover such as Goo-gone. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for use.
