How to Get TSP Cleaner off of a Mirror
- 1). Spray the mirror with water and wipe it down with a rag or paper towels. Clean one section at a time so the water does not gather on the bottom near the frame before you have a chance to wipe it off. The water may seep to the backing causing damage over time. Cleaning 3-by-3-foot sections at a time works well.
- 2). Repeat removing the TSP with water so you are sure to remove it all.
- 3). Choose a window cleaner to remove the streaks. Use a commercial window cleaner or make your own with 1 cup vinegar and 1/2 gallon of water.
- 4). Spray the window with the cleaner, starting at the top. Again, clean small sections at a time.
- 5). Wipe the cleaner off with a clean, lint-free rag, or use crumpled up newspapers. Make long horizontal strokes, which is a method used to prevent streaking. After one section is clean, clean the next.
