Subwoofer or Line Level Cable Method

    • 1). Plug one end of the single RCA cable into the "Subwoofer" or "Subwoofer Out" port on the back of your stereo system. If your system has a "Line Out" port instead, connect a dual RCA cable to these ports.

    • 2). Plug the other end of the RCA cable into the input port on the back of your subwoofer, or connect the dual RCA cable to the "Line In" ports.

    • 3). Plug the stereo and subwoofer into a power outlet and turn both devices on. Play some music through the speakers and subwoofer.

    • 4). Adjust the "Volume" knob on the subwoofer until the bass seems balanced with the other speakers. Adjust the "Low Pass Filter" until the subwoofer seems to blend with the other speakers without overpowering them.

    XLR Cable Method

    • 1). Plug one end of the XLR cable into the XLR port on the back of your stereo system.

    • 2). Plug the other end of the XLR cable into the input port on the back of your subwoofer.

    Speaker Cable Method

    • 1). Disconnect the speaker wires from the back of your stereo system. Twist the tips of the existing speaker wire with the new speaker wire, twisting the positive cables together and then the negative cables together.

    • 2). Re-insert the speaker wires into the ports and tighten the ports if necessary.

    • 3). Connect the other ends of the new speaker wire to the speaker inputs of the subwoofer, and tighten the ports if necessary.
