- 1). Go to the back of the freezer and follow the electrical cord to the electrical outlet in your home. Make sure that the cord is plugged in. The freezer will not be able to run without power.
- 2). Go to the control panel inside the freezer's cabinet and turn the temperature control to the "On" position.
- 3). Check the circuit breaker that corresponds with the room your freezer is plugged into. Open your breaker box and turn the breaker to the "On" position. Your breakers should be labeled by room.
- 4). Close the freezer door and then make sure that it is not obstructed by any food. The temperature will not be able to stabilize with the door open. Clear any obstructions and then keep the door closed.
- 5). Turn the temperature knob lower if the food is not freezing. This is located on the control panel inside your freezer.
- 6). Use a sponge, warm water, and baking soda to clean the freezer if there is a bad odor.
- 7). Use a level and a wrench to level the freezer if it is noisy. Place the level on top of the freezer and then adjust the feet at the bottom by loosening and tightening the bolts on the feet.
